2005 Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl XL Championship Ring Presented to Safety Tyrone Carter. It had been twenty-six years since the Steelers hoisted the Lombardi Trophy, but the AFC Wild Card team completed their unbeaten playoff streak in the Super Bowl's fortieth edition on February 5, 2006, joining the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys as the only franchises with five Super Bowl Championships. The game is best remembered for two huge plays--a record seventy-five-yard touchdown run by Willie Parker, and a forty-three-yard touchdown pass from Antwaan Randle El to Hines Ward, the first TD pass from a wide receiver in the history of the Super Bowl.

The listed ring was presented to safety Tyrone Carter, who played in all twenty games for the Steelers throughout their regular season and playoff run, recording three tackles and a defended pass in the Super Bowl.
The face of the ring is jam-packed with five figural Lombardi Trophies and the logo of the Steelers, with real diamonds and precious gemstones enhancing the display. "Pittsburgh Steelers" text forms the northern and southern borders, while rows of diamonds do the same at east and west. Left shank reveals an "NFL" logo framed by Carter's surname and jersey number. Right shank supplies the logo and result of Super Bowl XL. Interior band is stamped "Jostens 14K" and measures to a size twelve (12). Total weight is fifty-four grams (54 g.).
